A 1695 farthing is a copper coin from the reign of King William III of England (1694-1702). It was a standard circulation coin, valued at one-quarter of a penny. The obverse features a laureate bust of King William III facing right, with the inscription “GVLIELMVS.TERTIVS”. The reverse depicts Britannia seated, holding a spear and an olive branch, with a shield bearing the Union flag. The date “1695” is inscribed at the bottom.
